WHY DISCHARGE? WHY SHOWDOWN? Nov 17, 2011
Here you have our standard discharge print on black 100% cotton t-shirts. This printing method is catching on in the print world and we are glad to offer it to our clients. The ink is printed through regular screens and is not visible until it’s trip through a forced air natural gas conveyor dryer. The shirt comes out on the other end fully dyed and ready for use. This print method will last as long as the shirt itself. The print is also completely soft to the touch.
On it’s way in… …On it’s way out
Here is another image of the print. You are able to see the fabric itself with no ink. The actual artwork provided was also distressed giving it an even more extreme vintage look. Click image for closeup.
A natural gas dryer is a major piece of equipment to ensure the highest quality product available. Our gas powered dryer is more efficient to operate and also uses a cleaner source of energy compared to it’s electric counterpart.
Why Gas? Gas dryers are the only dryer that can accurately and consistently cure waterbase/discharge/plastisol inks to the t-shirt. Gas dryers are also needed to completely burn and cure discharge inks. So when your out there looking for the right screen printer make sure you ask how they are curing their tshirts. If they are using an electric curing method then you will not be getting the best product.
